sasquatch lite
Too bad I’m not making it to Sasquatch this weekend. Thankfully I’m satisfied with seeing two of the main headliners over the past two gorgeous evenings, Björk and The Arcade Fire. If these two shows are any indication, the gorge goers are in for a supremo festival experience. Of the bazillion other cool bands in attendance, I’ll most regret missing M.I.A. (who apparently cant...

Quicksilver as a Productivity Tool
This is cross posted over at TechLearning In my role as a building administrator, I often find myself working to document my interactions with students and staff in a way that allows me the greatest flexibility and also provides a date and time stamp that makes reviewing and documenting the interactions easy. Recently I have been exploring the use of a Mac OS X application called Quicksilver....

A great video on joho blog today, will kick off a new category for education.building on, organization. While discussing his new book Everything Is Miscellaneous, the guru of the topic goes off a bit on his public school system. Alas, i think i will have stay home and rest with my sweetie. The month May still holds PLENTY of musical delights,...

Observing Cassette Culture: Thesis now available
yay for finishing projects! The above picture was taken about an hour before my final final deadline. I am not even sure how I managed to pull this off, and yet here I am, done my masters degree. Its especially gratifying doing this level of work on a topic that I am so fond of, and has received such little academic inquiry. (these are the kind of things i can say now) Once again, a big bunch of...
